01

What it is intended to do

Reduction in the appearance of unwanted hair in a treated area. Reduction is not removal, and outcomes vary with hair colour, skin type, hormones and body area.

02

What an appointment generally involves

  1. 01Assessment including skin typing, hair characteristics, medication and medical history.
  2. 02Patch testing before a first treatment.
  3. 03Treatment of the agreed area with eye protection and monitoring throughout.

03

Who it may be appropriate for

  • Confirmed individually. Recent sun exposure, tanning, certain medications and some hormonal conditions can make treatment unsuitable or less effective.

04

Limitations, risks and side effects

  • Expected effects include redness and follicular swelling for a period after treatment.
  • Risks include blistering, pigment change and, uncommonly, scarring.
  • We do not describe treatment as permanent, painless or guaranteed. The number of sessions likely to be useful for you is discussed at consultation.

This list is a summary written for general information. The risks that apply to you specifically are discussed in full at consultation and set out in writing before you consent to anything.

05

Afterwards

Sun avoidance, no heat or friction on the area for an agreed period, and written instructions with a contact point.

06

Fees

Fees for this service depend on what is actually appropriate for you and are confirmed in writing after consultation. We do not publish indicative ranges, packages or time-limited offers.
