What it is intended to do
Reduction in the appearance of unwanted hair in a treated area. Reduction is not removal, and outcomes vary with hair colour, skin type, hormones and body area.

What an appointment generally involves

Who it may be appropriate for
- Confirmed individually. Recent sun exposure, tanning, certain medications and some hormonal conditions can make treatment unsuitable or less effective.

Limitations, risks and side effects
- Expected effects include redness and follicular swelling for a period after treatment.
- Risks include blistering, pigment change and, uncommonly, scarring.
- We do not describe treatment as permanent, painless or guaranteed. The number of sessions likely to be useful for you is discussed at consultation.
